Jeannie studied at St Martins School of Art, London to degree level, and holds an M.A. in Art and Design from the University of Humberside. She also holds a Professional Graduate Diploma from The University of Derby in Teaching in the
LifeLong Learning Sector.
Jeannie is a member of Leicester Print Workshop and part time teacher, with over 40 years of teaching experience in drawing, printmaking, and painting. She has recently had the pleasure of working in the community for the WEA Nottingham, and art festivals running drawing and printmaking workshops .
Since lockdown Jeannie has been running a range of workshops online via Zoom for a number of institutions, including the Faculty of Education at Canterbury Christ Church University . She has experience of teaching at level 3, HND, and degree level.
Jeannie also runs bespoke workshops for small groups, and for now these workshops take place on Zoom. Details can be found here
Jeannie has exhibited widely, and more recently exhibited at Peggy’s Skylight , Tarpey Gallery ,The Harley Gallery, The Old Lockup Gallery, Derby Print. Jeannie’s work combines traditional forms of intaglio and relief print informed by
directly observed sketches.
